This part is a replacement for the jack plug covers found on a Porsche 914 (and other vehicles).
I made this part for my Dad, after helping him jack his car, and noticing that the original caps don't fit in very tightly.
While the original part is still available for sale, I've made some modifications that have it working better than the original.
Most notably, my Dad has had to replace these covers twice, and until now, was using some sort of sticky putty to help hold them in since the fit wasn't great and the plastic used seems to wear out quickly with use.
I've lengthened the ‘peg’ or part that goes into the square tube, increased the grip, and chosen to use TPU which so far has shown no damage after being inserted and removed a number of times.

I went into this wanting to make it parametric, but halfway through I gave up… so while I do have parameters saved, and they do work, some of them aren't actually used, and not everything is defined by them.
There is also a body labeled as CapTest, this was just used to test the fit before printing the larger part and potentially wasting material if the fit was bad.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
