A cable tie for your everyday needs, whether that be for organization, making connections, hanging, repairs or whatever you choose. I have tested it to 25lbs without the hooks or the PLA breaking.
I used standard PLA and a 0.2mm layer height. Despite being made from standard PLA it is quite flexible and durable (provided you only wrap it in the proper direction; and no bending or twisting it on itself, at least with PLA).
What can I say other than it seems to work and handle some wear and tear quite well for what it is.
1 cable tie took me 10min and 0.5m of filament. A great print to use up the last of your filament!
I would greatly appreciate your user input and any improvement suggestions including your experiences with the product from use, how it printed for you and especially how other types of filament behave with this design.
For now, there is one model capable of securing a diameter of 1.25” (like most ties, if you need more coverage connect multiple ties together!). In the future I hope to provide a range of sizes and a parametric file.
Please note that the slot and hooks are a snug fit and will require it be pushed in with a very slight amount of force. From my testing this added snugness contributes to the holding capability of this design, when it was a loose fit on the slot it could come undone under certain conditions.
