Key Features:

Printing Recommendations:

• Material: We recommend using food-safe PETG for health and durability considerations. If using any other material, consider sealants, like food-safe resins. Note that any sealant may add to the dimensions of the cap and hinder the fit.
• Layer Height: 0.16mm to 0.2mm for a smooth finish and optimal detail.
• Perimeters: Use 1 perimeter and the “Extra perimeters if needed” option in PrusaSlicer. Setting a higher minimum for perimeters causes issues with the finish (see image). These settings still result in a sturdy cap.
• Infill: 15% or more to ensure the cap's strength and longevity.
• Supports: Depending on your printer's capabilities, painted supports may be necessary for the locking tabs. Painting the supports to minimize the length of any bridge was the best method to balance quality of overhangs while minimizing support contact.
• Orientation: Optimal results achieved by printing with holes touching the print bed. This requires supporting the locking tabs, in many cases.
