The net cups I previously use always broke after a while because of poor adhesion when printed standing up.
This cup prints in 3 parts flat on the print bed for superior strength. It also includes a lid to close off the top to not let light down into the nutrient below.
To assemble:
Print settings:
These are designed to be printed with a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.2mm layer height in a stiff material like PLA och PETG. The OctaLid optional part is best to print in a flexible material if you want to add it around the plant after the fact.
Customizability:
The ready .3mf-file is made after my needs of a 55mm outer diameter and a 50mm height with a 2mm rim. You should be able to scale it in the slicer to get other dimensions, just remember to stand OctaSide up so the scaling matches the final assembly.
I have also included a .step-file for more customization and also a .f3d-file if you want to change the parameters in Fusion 360. The parameters hole, height, thickness, rim and lidHole all works and should update the model fine.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
