Launcher for wind-up models

Overview.

I made some windup models till now.

But launching them by hand is quite difficult. I thought about some kind of launcher and this is my final version of it.

Assembly

To assembly the launcher you have to print : Base, Arm and Trigger. For trigger use support.

Cotter is optional.

You also need a rubber band.

Insert the arm like on a photo.

Attach a rubber band.

Insert the trigger, you have to use some force to put in.

How to play

Arm the launcher by pressing the arm down until the trigger locks it.

Wind up the bat and insert it into the base

Now you can simply press the trigger and bat will fly.

How to set a trap or shoot from a distance

To lauch it from distance you have to use the cotter. You can print it or use a bit of a filament or a toothpick instead. 

Tie a thread or a fishing line to the the cotter

Push the arm down but instead of lock it on the trigger, lock the arm by the cotter.

The best effect is when the pin locks the arm only at the tip. A firm pull will launch the bat but will not move the base.

You can play with this launcher using trigger, scary people by remotely launch it or make some trap in doorway :)
