There are 2 versions available.
The hex axle can be printed as a whole and then just be inserted into the car. But since the axle is not round, it does not turn that smooth.
The round one needs 2 per axle and they are just inserted into the car together and then hold together by the wheels.

I suggest to use the round axle and rub a bit of candle wax on them as lube.

You need to print:

  • 4x wheel
  • 4x round half axle

OR

  • 2x hex axle

I tested both pla and petg and both work fine.

Print settings wheel:

  • 0.2mm layer height
  • 3 perimeters
  • 3 top / bottom
  • 20% infill
  • support enabled

Print settings axle:

  • 0.16 mm layer height
  • 4 perimeters
  • 5 top / bottom
  • 40% infill (or go for 100%)

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

New axles and wheels. The originals ones were printed up right with layer adhesion as weakest link.

I made new axels that can lay flat on the bed which are much stronger.

I also changed the wheels to go with the new axles.
