so i upgraded the ender 3 with the hemera and started printing faster and the old cooler i had couldn't keep up. neither did the others i tried, so i made this one myself. i also made it a two piece design because lets face it printing these ducted cooler designs sucks, and usually you have to really dial in your print settings to get them to come out pretty decent. so this one is simply split so you wont need any supports, v2 version needs supports on the end of the ducts.
as for now this thing works pretty decent on my printer at 150mm/s and 4000mm/s2 acceleration, so i can assume if your not a lunatic like me this thing should work just fine for you. if you are loony like me maybe stick around and I'll have played with this thing long enough to make it really awesome, or not i might suck at this.
but try it out, leave it a like if it works great for you. maybe follow if you want an update later on. I'm thinking about adding a neopixel on it as well for maybe a print light.
thanks, and happy printing!
hardware used
2 - m3 x 20mm - screws for 5015 fan
1 - m3 x 16mm - screw to hold the back to the main body
1 - m3 nut - for the insert in the main body
4 - m3 x 6mm screws to hold it to the Hemera
v2 - second iteration of duct that actually worked.
v3 - made the openings at the ends a bit smaller for velocity and made it printable without any supports.
