The original case was too shallow for my micrometer, as well as being just slightly too short. Aside from extending the depth and length, I also modified a small amount of the shaping around the micrometer and changed the space for the wrench, as mine is 75mm long and i did not want it “flapping” around too much.
I made these changes to the original “Print In Place” model, and split it into separate shell halves. The separated version is what i printed and used a 3.2mm mild steel rod for the hinge. I printed this on my Creality CR-X with a 0.6mm nozzle at 0.4mm layer height.
