Customizable Parameters:

  • Tooth Profile (GT2, HTD 3M, HTD 5M)
  • Tooth Count
  • Tooth Width (Belt Width)
  • Bore Size
  • Snap-Ring Size
  • Grub Screw Size

What you need to know:

  • Printed in two parts.
  • A metric snap ring/retaining ring (DIN 471) is required for assembly.
  • The hole for the grub screw is intended to be threaded using a metric thread cutter.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Download Timing-Belt-Pulley.FCStd.
  2. Select the TimingGear and in the base section, edit the
    • height (Tooth Width/Belt Width)
    • teeth (Tooth Count)
    • type (Tooth Profile)
  3. Select the Parameters spreadsheet and edit the
    • Bore Diameter (don't forget a tolerance addition to make it fit!  0.2 seems to be a good value on my printer)
    • Snapring Size (the nominal size of the snap ring you want to use)
    • Total Height (total height of the pulley)
    • Grub Screw Metric Size (the metric thread of your grub screw)
    • Grub Screw Placement (if necessary, height where the grub screw should be placed)
    • Guard Height & Guard Thickness (if you want to customize the guard on both sides of the teeth)
  4. Export Pulley-Part1 and Pulley-Part2 and print!  Don't forget to check the print orientation of Pulley-Part2!
