I found it quite difficult to mount the ERCF on the top or back of voron 2.4 printer, the back panel makes things difficult…

Also all the existing mount options floating a round  I can find, I don't like. some even require expensive and certain size of hardware/aluminum extrusions…too high cost and too much trouble ( saw aluminum extursion 2020 ? no thanks.)

So I figured out this solution, with close to zero cost, just print 3 small parts, we can reliably mount the ERCF on the top /back of voron2.4, and it's quite solid.

I also design it to Not occupy much space on the top of the voron 2.4 printer, the ERCF is basically in the air,  so the Voron printer top space can have other use, very important other use, for example, filament box for ERCF.

In this design, the ERCF 6X inlets are facing user/voron front, and the ERCF outlet is facing back, so it can easily go into Voron back/tube/panel hole/fitting.

In the original voron 2.4 design, there is also a big air filter box, with filament inlet/fitting in there, this mount design works with that too.

ERCF PCB box is also provided, it can be mount on the right mount part, need a M3 square nut, (a regular Hex nut may or may not fit)

My ERCF is 6 color, and my voron is 250mm, they work well. for larger printer like 300mm they should work too.

 
hardware required

M3 hammer nuts : two for each rabbit foot mount part, so total 3X2=6.

screws: M3 10mm  3pcs ( back mount on voron),  M3 16mm 3pcs  (top mount), M3 12mm 3pcs (for  rabbit feets).

M3 hex nuts X 3  

 

The easiest install method:

insert square nut in right ercf mount (for PCB case)

insert 3 regular M3 hex nut under each printed mount part

1 use screws M3 12mm X 3 and 3 hammer nuts to put 3 printed parts on the back of voron top extrusion first (on extrusion back side, NOT top side), don't tighten screws, adjust position to fit 3 ercf's 3 feet.

2 put 3X hammer nuts on extrusion top side for each mount part, align with holes. put ERCF on 3 printed mount parts, align screw holes on the rabbit feet and the mount top holes ( extrusion top side).  use screws M3 16mm X 3 and hammer nuts to secure ERCF on the printed mount part and 2020 extrusion.

don't tighten yet

 

3 use screws M3 12mm to secure the rabbit feet on the last hole on the mount.

tighten all screws.

can use 2.6mm tap screws X3 to secure PCB in the pcb case.

install PCB case on right ercf mount using M3 screw.

stp files are also provided.

Print setting

no special setting require, no support needed .

30% infill or more, we don't want the mount parts to be too weak.

3 or 4 parameters(wall)

PLA or PETG or ABS.
