This is a slightly improved holder for the filament run out sensor used by Creality 3D printers (CR series). I included a version with a lower guide and with both a lower and an upper one. I used 625 bearings (16,5,4), I think they are the ones used in V slot rollers. I included STEPs and Fusion 360 files so you can make changes. I am using this modifided cover for sensor: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4840676

2 - 3x 625 Bearings

Filament sensor

2x M3 6mm screws

1x M5 25mm screw

1x M5 nut or locking nut

0.16 - 0.28

Post printing:

  • press fit sliders on bearings.
  • screw base on the frame with 2x M3 T-nut and 2x M3 6mm screws
  • screw filament sensor in place with 4x M3 15mm screws (stock from run out sensor mount).
  • press fit and screv bottom bearing with 2x M4 10 - 15 mm screws.
  • screw the last bearing in plase, but dont forget to put the filament guide first.
  • you can add some small rubber band so the filament will stck to bearing and the motion will be smother.
