Description

PDF

The original cap provided with the Wolfcraft 4195 precision knife frequently fell off, which inspired me to create a more secure replacement. This process eventually led to the design of a new grip that firmly secures the cap and offers a safer method for storing and transporting the tool when it's not in use.

Build process

3D Printing

You can use the following settings as reference:

  • Material: PLA/PETG
  • Supports: None
  • Resolution: 0.2mm Layer Height (using a 0.4mm nozzle)
  • Perimeters: 2
  • Top Layers: 2
  • Bottom Layers: 2
  • Infill: 100%

Installation

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to install the printed grip and cap on the Wolfcraft 4195 precision knife:

  1. Begin by 3D printing the provided parts.
  2. Next, remove the original grip by unscrewing the blade holder.
  3. Insert the 3D printed grip you've created.
  4. Reattach the blade holder securely by screwing it back into place.
  5. Lastly, attach the 3D printed cap by screwing it onto the newly installed grip.
