Iphone lightning plus was introduced in 2012 with usb 2.0 standards.  They've kept all iphones on the outdated standard that COULD have been replaced in 2015 when they introduced the far superior usb-c to their first mac.  

Instead, they chose to make billions on an outdated, antiquated, and overpriced MFI plug.  Here lies the final resting place for your cords when you are finally introduced into the best and most universally used plug on earth.
