Voronoi patterns provide seamless changing cells on the surface of these five hollow cylinders. The numbers are relative cell counts for each pattern: lower cell counts produce coarser surfaces, higher are finer.

Each cylinder is about 43.5mm in diameter and a bit less than 72mm tall. They're easy to roll with your hand, laying down interesting textures on a clay surface. Practice on scrap clay to get a feel for best pressure and speed. They'll clean up easily with a jet of water. They also make fine cat toys.

The rolling pattern is seamless, which only took me a lifetime or two to figure out (blame my lack of cranial density, not the software). I spent another half lifetime culling versions with cell counts that produced weird effects and tinkering with optimal strut thickness.

The photos show several Voronoi Skeleton Cylinders I designed and printed in the course of developing techniques. They are representative: the models shown in the photo may or may not be uploaded here. All my designs are carefully designed and tested. I can generate additional cell counts if people show interest.

Are they printable? Yes: with the help of a wide brim on the build plate: I use a 12mm radius brim.  Use sandpaper to clean up bumps. I've printed these in ABS but PLA and PETG should work fine, too. I print with a layer height of 0.12mm for fine resolution, but they will print with 0.20mm layers.

If you want to encourage this project please leave a comment and show your results. Suggestions welcome. Thanks.
