Changes

• It is thicker so it is easier to grip during removal from sheet. 
• Thicker also keeps the parts further apart and allows for more sheet ‘bunching’ to fit between the parts.
• The “very thin” section is now thicker. The original had a tendency to crack after some use. (Actually, with a big enough elastic loop there is no need for bending.)

Update

I ended up using the strap part and a small binder clip to hold the end of the elastic (instead of sewing).
