Spooly combines two functions,

  • It's a ridgeline /guyline / paracord winder
  • It's a tensioner like Duchware Wasp, or Loop Alien

It's light, secure and easy to print.

Scale it to fit your line - 100% fits soft braided 3mm guyline.

Feel free to buy me coffee: https://revolut.me/gty

Uses:

  • Setting up your tarp
  • Guylines for camping
  • Continuos ridgelines for hammock / tarp setup
  • Any situation where you need a easy way of tightening and tying a string or small rope

Print tips for outdoor use:

Use UV-safe filament (ASA, PETG or Nylon). For extra strenght, use CF filament.

  • 4-perimeters
  • 40% infill
  • Triangles as infill pattern
  • If you have trouble with the hole, then use supports and remove them with a 3,5 mm dril

How to use Spooly

1. Slide Spooly free on your string to the desired position.

2. Insert the string attached to your tarp into Spoolys eye to form a small loop.

3. Lock the position by placing the loop on Spoolys ear.

4. Wind the string around whatever you want (perhaps a tree), and tighten as hard as you want.

5. Insert the end of your string into Spookys other eye.

6. Secure and lock the string by inserting it into Spookys mouth.
