Yes, I know it's blasphemy as we already have the awesome mother of all flexi dinosaurs, the original Flexi Rex from DrLex. But in order to achieve my goal of creating an entire Jurassic Park, I need a version in my style to match that of Günther, Theobald and Bertha.
To find a name for her, I held a prize draw and my club member SpeakingOfBrad won and chose wisely. Thank you for your support and good choice! If you, the reader of these lines, would like to have a chance to choose a name for my future creations, join my club!
Tessa the T-Rex has a hinged jaw so she can chew the heads off anything that gets in her way. Chomp, chomp! Gulp! Yummy!
In the style of Theobald, I decided not to make the model parallel to the baseplate. This makes it more dynamic and fits in with my other FlexiDinos. With its sturdy hinges, it is as robust as you would expect from the fiercest predator of all time.
If you know my models, it's always my aim to make them as quick and easy to print as possible. This one is no exception. I am currently printing it with a .6 nozzle and, when I am particularly impatient, a .4mm layer height. I have also managed to get good results when scaled down to 55% of the original size. I think you could go even smaller with a smaller nozzle, it's up to you to find out.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
