There are so many ways to display your printed memories. A very versatile and decorative option is to attach them to a rope attached to the wall.
This photo rope wall mount system can be set up with simple cords of around 2mm in diameter. The rope is held in the container by being pressed into the grooves in a serpentine pattern, making it almost impossible to pull the rope out from the side.
If you need some clips to hang your photos on the rope, please, check out my mini clips.
The wall mount parts can either be screwed to the wall or, if the wall surface is flat, attached with double-sided tape.
The rope is then pressed into the grooves. One round should be fine but if you are using a thinner cable (like I did) you can just do more laps.
You can clamp cords with a diameter of up to 2mm. But simple wool threads or thin steel cables can also be used.
The lid is just pressed into the wall mount part. Depending on your printer's capabilities, you propably will need to sand the pin down a bit.
The model consists of two parts, one which is mounted to the wall and a cover.
The wall mount part is printed bottom up (wall facing side on print bed) while the lid is printed top down (visible side on print bed).
Obviously you need to print two sets to install a cord between these two parts.
If you find the design too boring you can personalize or theme the installation by redesigning the lid part. It should cover an area 40mm in diameter, with a 9.8mm x 4mm (d x h) pin in the middle.
I have added an alternative cover, which prints nice in two colors with a color change at 1.4mm layer height (see photo).
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
