  • Added version for M3 bolt
  • Added .step files for both sizes with parametric dimensions:

A thumbscrew I created for my Rook 2020 build.

Designed to hold a captive M4 nut.

Either in your slicer or the GCode input M25 command on layer 118 - this will pause the print and park the toolhead. Simply put the nut in the slot and continue the print (purging if necessary).

DISCLAIMER: Nut thickness should be pretty standard but just in case there is variation, please make sure that the nut sits flush when dropped into its slot (or it barely sticks out)

(If the nut ends up sticking out, one remedy is to screw it onto an m4 bolt, heat it up (carefully!) using e.g. a lighter and melt it in the slot. Wait until it cools down, unscrew the bolt and resume the print. I had to do this with one of the first versions and it worked surprisingly well.)
