Which piece is on the "settings" stl?
@BusDriver_2438797 settings is not an stl but a 3mf file which holds the settings for each part to be printed (used mostly with Bambu printers but also with cura slicer) (edited)
Its ok to print in PLA? I'm worried it might not hold up long term
@LeandroDuarte_563586 I did some in PLA/PLA+ and after almost a year they are still ok.
@DutchWorkX3D Thank you. Im a Noob at 3d printing i always use Sunlu PLA Meta since i start printing. I will try to make it 🙂
I had perfect prints come out, however, the two front bars are longer than I expected. For some reason, they're too long to line up with each other without bowing. This was printed in PLA. Anyone know what went wrong as I used the files from this version/site in the Bambu Studio slicer?
@DutchWorkX3D What is the Front Bar for? I've printed everything else with an understanding of how they're used, but I can't seem to figure this one.
@Anthony448_2347643 the front bar is to keep the sides from moving inwards by printer movement (shaking)
Made with petg printed in two different orientations to give the dual tone look.
Works ok... I was hoping for better cooling and no longer having a need to crack the front door but unfortunately I still need to crack the door.
THE BEST riser out there! Did tons of research of the different options before selecting this one. Have been SUPER HAPPY with it! So strong, came together perfectly. Very well designed.
Great design ! For people that are having trouble with the supports, see my attached screenshots for my Bambu Studio settings. Printed perfectly and only 2 small supports to remove after. (edited)
I love, love, love this riser! It printed beautifully and fits like a glove. Thank you for all the time and effort you sacrificed by creating this very useful item. I'm not very tall and taking the AMS off to get into the top was a real pain. Now I have no worries. Great job!
EDIT: Forgot to mention that I printed it in PETG from TEQStone, Orange. (edited)
Ok sorry to ask something that's prob been asked already...but I love this design and some of these prints are freaking awesome. I just fear the support issue. I keep seeing comments that state it was a horrible experience. Can anyone clarify support or no support and if so what orientation did you put it in. i appreciate the time and help.
@RG_730080 I printed the two front pieces without support or brim. I oriented them with the long, front bar standing straight up. The back corners I printed with the longer side on the build plate and slim tree supports, on build plate only. I use Orca slicer. The supports were mostly fairly easy to remove except one was hard to reach. I would do it over again and definitely recommend. Good luck and let us know how you make out.
I am using a remastered version of this riser, from lehighluke, that is the same design. I really like this riser since it has the look and features I was looking for, but both versions are missing a feature that I really wanted. I wanted it to have angled inside edges to be able to mount an LED strip, but I also wanted to print it to make sure it was a fit for my P1S and worked well. Once I printed the riser and loved it, I designed, printed and installed some add-on LED mounts. If you have this AMS riser, but wanted to add LEDs without printing a second riser, then this should be for you: https://www.printables.com/model/782481-xerses-led-add-on-mounts-for-remastered-x3d-v3-ams
I have also remixed the full riser with my add-on mounts as part of the design, and will be uploading it shortly.
@Xerses_1806510 Nice work, keep it up, enjoy all the remixing :-)
