Application / Functions

I needed an attachment on the legs of the tipi of my kid to prevent the legs from sliding in uncontrollably and collapsing the tent. Is designed this legholder and added some horizontal wooden beams to the structure, so it’s geometry couldn’t be altered.

For my application I was worried the front beam would deter my kid from entering and playing in the tipi, so I removed it and hoped the structure would hold it’s form. To my surprise, it works like a charm!

Optional benefit – If you’re tired of your kid crawling everywhere, you could insert the front beam and make them walk or climb over it. Do what suits you best!

Features

Tipi floor dimensions: 1200 x 1200 mm, Height of the legs 1500mm. Diameter of the vertical legs was 22mm, for the horizontal beams I used rounded dowels Diam. 14mm.
