Funky Scaleable Spherical Cable and Cord Tidies (various quanities and size)

Funky looking spherical cable clips to keep stuff tidy around the office or home. 

Scale to size so to hold cables snug and enables you to remove them and adjust lengths quickly … great for USB charging cables and power connectors. 

The open top section allows cables to be inserted and removed quickly, have lengths adjusted and will pop free instead of stressing connectors and cables if pulled too hard. 

Designed for flex / TPU, should work with other filaments but may require more accurate scaling and be less forgiving when inserting or removing cables (let me and others know in makes / comments how it turns out if you decide to go this way)

Directions: 

• Leave “as is” for ~8mm power type cables, or scale in (prusa) slicer to your required size
• Print (probably best in TPU / Flex?)
• Optional: stick down with a bit of double sided sticky tape, hot glues or similar to keep things in place better

Scaling example: The cable hole in the provided .stl files is 8mm  ... so if you want to make it smaller or bigger then just use the scale function in Prusa or other slicer software … eg to make a 6mm cable hole for USB cables, scale the print (uniformly) to 75% in your slicer and then print … simples. 

I've added .stl files for single, plus 4x 6x and 8x hole cable tidies (with a little rounding at edges to keep them clean) … you could also replicate as many singles as you need in a row and overlap them in prusa slicer to print other quantities

Print settings: 

• Print slower in Flex/TPU for best results (I was impatient so mine a little messy)
• 2- 3 walls - fewer walls makes it more flexible and easier to slot cables in and out. 
• Infill ~20% adaptive has worked fine in all sizes - could probably do less if you wish
• No supports required - overhangs and top section optimised for easy printing

Other uses might include cord and rope tidies, for routing or protection, keeping cords for venetian blinds or similar tidy … post a make and let me and others know in comments if you find other good uses for these.
