A simple drill jig designed for 2022-2023 West Coast Products SwerveX Wheels in 4" size. It is designed to accommodate 1.5" Neoprene roughtop (Black) conveyer tread, available from Thrifty Bot and elsewhere. The dimensions are based off actual measurements from a wheel, then resized to get a really nice tight fit. Thus, the dimensions are a little “toight” in the x and y axis, and require applying the tread progressively around the wheel with button head 10-32s from one mating side to the other.
As as seen in the picture, it is designed to be screwed to a piece of plywood or 2x4 with deck screws, #8 or the like, then running the drill thru to make a bottom guide before inserting the tread. This also serves as a cut jig, insert the loose end of a coil of tread face up, lining up one end flush with the end of the jig. Put one wood screw through a drill hole to secure it, then cut other end with very sharp utility knife or in our case, 1.5" wood chisel (fun!). Drill 7 holes, pull screw out, drill 8th. Push finished tread out.
This is printable on an ender 3 sized bed (235mmx235mm) at 45 degree angle, with the top facing down and no supports. You may have to increase your bed size in the slicer to 240ish but it will fit. Prusa Mk3/s/4 should fit it no problem. They usually last for about 2 rolls of tread (20 ft) before the plastic holes are egged out, then we toss 'em.
Best of luck in 2023/2024 from the 3171 Hurricanes!
