I needed a solution to keep my balcony door open, but also easily release them at will, so I came up with this.
The base of the door holder is glued to the floor with a strong, double sided mounting tape (remember to de-grease both surfaces with IPA before applying the tape). Holds very well for 2 months now and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere.
The door gets blocked, when the bottom of the door goes over the notch (you can put a little vaseline on the round surface of the notch to make the door-blocking smoother).
The surface on the right-side of the model, slightly sticking out, is used to release the door from the notch (you can just step on it with your foot).
The model is designed for a gap of 4.5cm between the floor and the bottom of the door. Resize it as needed.
Printed it in PETG, 15% infill, seems to be sturdy this way.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
