I really like the PolyBox to keep my filament dry. It really works and also makes the spool roll very easily. This prevents a lot of misprints, especially for larger printing jobs. The low moisture also gives a better surface finish.
I found that the Polymaker PolyBox only holds large spools of PolyMaker itself. I needed some filament from another supplier to fit the box also.
The larger 2,3 kg spools have a bigger outer diameter than the 3Kg spools of PolyMaker. The top of the PolyBox hits the case then.
To overcome this, I created an extension ring to raise the case for about 3 cm. The shape fits the PolyBox exactly, so the seal is as good as without the extension. I also added the tabs to keep the top cover from bending inwards and added some extra to improve the original design.
The part was printed as one piece on a Creality Cr10-5S.
**Update 17 januari 2019:**
Two part piece is added but not yet tested. The distance between the two parts is 0,3 mm. If this is two large to for or to small, please let me know, I can simply change this in Fusion 360.
