Portable Office

Who has an office these days? Keep all of your bits and bobs with you as you move from worksite to worksite. This compact organizer features:

• Work phone storage (95 x 168 x 15mm)
• Phone stand / storage cover
• Credit card / money / business card slots
• MicroSD card slots (4x)
• Memo pad / receipt pad storage (5 x 8.75" / 127 x 222mm)
• Pen / pencil storage with sliding retaining flap
• Misc. storage for USB drives, coins, paper clips, etc.
• Secure cover latch

Note: I've also included versions of the left and right sides of the organizer without dividers for customization.

Printing
I printed everything in PLA with 0.2mm layers. None of the parts need supports. Note, though, that the latch piece has 4 built-in supports that break-away easily. Also, the right side piece has a very thin support strip underneath the latching ridge at the edge that also peels away easily.

Assembly

1. Slide the phone cover onto the dovetail rails on the right side piece. It should hold in place by itself, but if not, you can always use a drop of superglue.
2. Lay the left and right pieces side-by-side with the hinge knuckles interlocking. Cut a piece of 1.75mm filament (a little longer than the length of the spine) with one end tapered. Straighten the filament some and then insert into the hinge pin hole at the end. 
3. With one end of the filament sticking out slightly, smash the end gently with pliers to flatten it slightly. Then shove the flattened end flush into the hole. This should give a gentle friction fit.
4. Position the latch piece next to the left piece with the knuckles interlocked. Repeat steps 2 & 3 to install a second hinge pin.
5. Slide the clip pieces into the slots in the side of the misc. storage block. These should be a pretty snug fit. If it is too tight, you can sand down the little buttons on the top of the clips.
6. Snap the flap piece onto the dividing rail on the right side piece.

To use close the organizer and press along the latch to snap the hook end over the ridge on the right side. Peel the edge of the latch back to open it back up. Note that the phone stand acts as a cover for the misc. storage bin when closed, but can be pulled out and shoved into the angled slot when using it as a phone stand.
