AMD Chip Stand

DESCRIPTION

This an AMD Athlon 64 X2 chip stand that I made to put on my desk, next to my computer, to display the CPU's beauty.

I believe that any AM2 Socket CPU might be suitable for this stand. This includes:

• Athlon 64
• Athlon 64 X2
• Athlon 64 FX
• Opteron
• Sempron
• Phenom

For reference, the chip I used main dimensions are 38mm x 38mm and the fillet radius seems to be around 5mm.

NEW VERSION - V2

bottomV2 file adds a new angle of positioning, letting you choose between the higher or lower. It still works with the unique top file.

PRINTING RECOMMENDATIONS

I printed this in generic PLA, using 0.2mm layer height and 0.4mm line width. I also printed the top part with its biggest face touching the build plate and the bottom part with the logo face facing downwards.

SIDENOTES - DISCLAIMERS

1. Be careful! While assembling, the chip's pins might bend. I take no responsibility if that happens. Because of this, I recommend using an old chip that you have laying around, and not a functionable/expensive one.
