I saw many bulky clips for whiteboard markers and chose to design something more visually appealing.
Features:
Vertical and horizontal storage is possible
Neodymium magnets Ø10x3 mm or smaller magnets or M4 screws can be used
Utilizes minimal materials
Markers can be stored with the cap up or cap down
Markers snap securely in place
very satisfying :)
Requires a diameter around ⌀16,3 - 17 mm for vertical storage
New: STL for ⌀12 mm
My Print Settings
Magnets:
Utilize neodymium magnets Ø10x3 mm or smaller
Incorporate filament change for the final open slice for magnet insertion
Brim: No
Supports: No
Resolution: .2 mm
Infill: 15%
Filament: Any PLA or PETG
Some Notes:
I've tested the ⌀16,3 mm version with STAEDTLER whiteboard markers. It should also be compatible with expo whiteboard markers. Welcome improvement suggestions and other diameters in comments :)
