It can be a bit tricky to get the tool lined up, but once you do you should feel it ‘snap’ onto the seal. Gently rock the tool back and forth as you pull and the seal will eventually release.
Installation works the same, just in reverse. Gently rock the tool back and forth as you push and you should feel the seal ‘pop’ onto the stem.
PLA works well as long as you increase your Perimeters to 5, and use Rectilinear infill at 30%. Valve stem seals on old engines can be incredibly stubborn, so these values should be considered the minimum.
