quick release camera mount base, which can be attached to 1/4 inch photo screw

I had an existing quick release mount from my normal camera tripod. But i needed a quick release base on my small desk tripod for usage of a dslr as webcam.

With the print i can attache the existing camera mount (ground is round about 4.4cm x 4.4cm) plate on the quick release which is screwed on the 1/4 inch photo screw of the small, desk tripod.

The system do not use any screws on its own. You can print free of support.

Attention: Once the hinge is closed, it should hold the mount tight enough to prevent the camera from wobbling. Test the system for stability before attaching a camera on your own.

Print

• 0.2mm layer height
• 0.4 or 0.6mm nozzle
• no support
• 15% infill

Assembly

• place the printed plate on a desk and screw the photo tripot in the hole for the photo screw (on first assembly this should be a little harder).
• add the hinge inside the large hole
• !test if it hold tight enough to hold you camera!
