The OpenSourceEV Phone Ball Mount EVO is the fourth generation of the best phone mount on the market for the Rivian R1S and R1T. It's designed to tuck in between the gauge cluster and infotainment screen. It's held in place via friction and is easily removable.
This new fourth version of the EVO improves on V3 in a few different ways:
The Phone Ball Mount EVO is compatible with all three ball sizes - 17MM, 20MM and 1 Inch. (all models included) The 17MM works with most phone mounts, 20MM works with the co-branded Offroam x Peak Designs products, and a 1" size designed for RAM branded items only.
We print and sell this in ASA, but a high quality PETG (with a high melting point) will work well too. Print it with supports at 35%. You'll need an M5 bolt and M5x35 nut (m5x30 with older versions) They are available individually at OpenSourceEV.com should you want to purchase - in the spare parts section, or available from Amazon or local hardware stores.
Please note that this mount alone will not hold a phone in your Rivian - it is designed to be an attachment for a 3rd party phone holder. Phone holders pictured are not included. We suggest defaulting to the 17MM ball unless you know exactly what you want. Phone holders are available on Amazon, and we've hand selected and sell a few known-good units on our store.
