The texture on the board is unique and simple. However, openscad and thus the slicer, require that the texture be separated into 4 quarters with no edges or vertices touching. I create a base for the board with a cube, add each of the quarters as a part and add the lines and embossing as negative volumes.
It takes time to slice and it took a day and 4.4 hours to print as quality with .4 nozzle.
Qual gcode has the 3x3 spirals in the NE corner. altQUAL is as pictured.
Let me describe the usage of the stl
Cube180x180.4.5 is loaded then the other stl are parts. the 4 stl tile[0-3]quarter.stl are placed just above the base at 4.5. The other 3 stl: TRIMtiles, HarrissHALFedging, negSPIRALS are added as negative volumes and placed at 4.51.
There are 2 variants of the board. There is the one shown and there is one with the 3x3 spirals in the NE corner. Respectively, altQUAL and QUAL gcode. The reason for the variant is that it organizes the board as 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6.
