Parametric honeycomb inserts for the Prusacaster (and the knob holder portion from the BexGears remix by MrJamin). Modify the parameters of the inserts to achieve your desired thickness and/or to suit your printer's tolerance!

I also wanted to be able to print the body pieces upside down to get the surface texture from my textured PEI sheet on the front of the body, so I remixed the body portions with honeycomb cutouts to add 0.4mm of thickness to the top-most outer edge. The reason for this was that I couldn't seem to slice the original honeycomb portions in such a way that the outer edge line would print on the first layer, meaning it would print “in the air” starting on layer 2 (or 3 depending on my initial layer height) which lead to imperfections that I didn't like.

After fix:

I've also included a pickguard with a Hulk graphic that can be coloured in Bambu Studio (and probably other slicers) for a clean multicolor print and a “Smashocaster” badge for the headstock in Fender font.

I recommend printing a few test inserts first to make sure you have the tolerance settings dialed in before printing the full set. I also recommend printing everything upside down to get a smoother surface finish or to transfer the build plate texture to your print should you have a textured plate. If you want to print upside down you will need to flip all 3MF files if you choose to use those.

The honeycomb inserts have slight chamfers on the bottom to help with inserting into the body so should probably be printed upside down regardless.

The pickguard should be printed upside down with a narrower line width and the “Only one wall on first layer” (or equivalent) option enabled to get a better quality Hulk graphic.

Included are the F3D file and all the STEP and 3MF files for all the remixed portions, as well as two full sets of inserts in 3MF format - one for the original Prusacaster body pieces without the 0.4mm edge fix, and one for my remix with the fix. These inserts have tolerance parameters set that seemed to work well for my machine (X1C printing at a nearly maxed-out speed).
