**********

After I published my hard case for the MK4 and XL that holds 4 extruder assemblies, I started getting requests for versions of different sizes and for extruders with socks.

The version published here holds 2 extruder assemblies for the MK4 and XL

Features:

  1. The lid has a solid-feeling snap together clasp.
  2. Each extruder pocket has a clasp to securely retain the stem from accidentally falling out.
  3. Printed text to indicate how to remove each assembly from the case that reads: “<< LIFT HERE”

You can find my other Hard Case versions here:

  1. MK4 Nextruder Extruder - with Socks Hard Case (2x)
  2. MK4 Nextruder Extruder - with Socks Hard Case (4x)
  3. MK4 Nextruder Extruder - no Socks Hard Case (4x)

Recommendations:

  1. This is a great model for PLA.
  2. Print with 2 perimeters, 15% infill (I used triangular)
    Note: tested with 0.4mm nozzle.
  3. A 3-4mm brim is recommended along with ~15mm adhesion helpers at the corners to prevent the corners from lifting up.  I also recommend a 4mm brim.  See the .3mf file attached.
  4. Printed in Prusament Galaxy Black PLA.

Important:

The lid is intended to snap securely into place.  To open for the first few times, just be careful - but do not use a screw driver or any tools…it will damage the hard case. After several open/close cycles (maybe 15x), the lid becomes easier to open.

Note: This has only been tested with the Original Prusa Silicone Socks.

If you add this to your collection and/or download the model, please click the LIKE button and give it some STARS!

Remember, you can earn some Prusameters if you post a pic of your make!  Plus, it would make my day to see it. ;-D

Happy Printing!
