GoPros are notorious for overheating, and one option to solve this is to run without the battery inside and externally power the camera. When it gets really hot and if you have no airflow the overheat condition can still happen. This project aims to address this issue.
A 30x30x10 fan is put into a tray which clicks into place in the battery compartment. No screws are used to secure the fan; it's secured by a couple of divots popping into the mounting hole on the fan. This way there is no risk of metal ending up on the inside of your gopro.
This tray was specifically designed for this fan, but others might work. I chose this fan due to the size and with it being 5v it makes it easy to power off of the external battery pack.
This prints without supports. I used petg for temperature robustness. You need to do 0.2mm or better on the layer height so the locking divots work correctly.
