Description

PDF

This remix of Zack Freedman’s Hextraction Flip-Flop Tile was done to remove the built-in sacrificial supports as most printers should be able to bridge this distance without the need for supports. The cross-bridging of the floating hole on the flipper was also optimized for a 0.2mm layer height.

Print Settings

These tiles should be properly oriented & are designed to be printed without supports. For best results, print using a 0.2mm layer height. I used 40% infill, but you can experiment with other infill densities if you’d like.

Bill of Materials

For each Flip-Flop Tile you will need:
1x M3 flat washer — I used these from BoltDepot
1x M3x10mm or M3x12mm screw — I used these from BoltDepot

Assembly

Place the M3 washer in the center of the tile. Use the M3 screw to attach the flipper to the tile, ensuring that the peg on the flipper is properly aligned with the slot in the base of the tile. Don't over-tighten the screw — the flipper should still spin freely.
