I needed a place to store my small drill bits and a box is just too boring, since I'm already known (among people who know me) as the one that builds robots I decided to design a drill bit holder robot.
I printed this in PLA, because the model has a lot of internal pockets that need support inside the model I used 20% infill.
The main body does not need supports, the arm does need supports.
The body-arm connection is intentionally loose to be forgiving for printer calibration issues, use glue to attach the parts.
The robot holds (all links to AliExpress):
The robot also has holes in both legs to screw it into a base because I suspect it wouldn't be stable (there are hols for screws on the bottom and little slots on the back of the leg to insert nuts to hold the screws, in the end this is stabe and I didn't use them.
Designed in Fusion 360 and printed on my Robo 3D R1+, if you print this model please upload a "make" with a photo I really enjoy seeing those.
