Spring Loaded Robotic Gripper

Compression springs are attached to the top of the gripper in the designated pin holes. The gripper stays in a wider open position until it is closed around the object forcing the springs the expand. This in turn causes the jaws of the gripper to close more tightly to prevent the object falling out. This gripper is designed to pick up triangular or rectangular objects that benefit from having a wrapped jaw design.
