Description

This is a small model of a simple game called Tivoli. It is, say, a desktop version of it ;). The Tivoli or “Tiv” was a game that incorporated marbles cascading through a maze of pins to fall into numbered areas.

The model is very simple and easy to print in one go - small legs and release system is integrated into the design.

Instructions:

  1. Legs are printed upside down near the body connected to it with a thin brim, that - after the print - serves as a hinge and allows legs to be turned and glued to the body from below. Thus the position of the legs is secured as well.
  2. Then remove small lip at the end of release tab. It just helps to print release tab without peeling off of the build plate. Then carefully separate release tab from the plate. Plate served here as a support.
  3. Hooks on the right side of the body can be used to attach a rubber band, which would increase the strength of launch.
  4. Notice the end stop pin on the release tab - it prevents release lever overload.
  5. The diameter of a marble should be about 8mm.

Printing:

It is supposed to be printed at 0.2mm layer to get optimal separation gap between plate and release tab.

Tip:

Try to play with colors during the print, e.g. print bottom plate with one color and the rest (pins, walls) with another one.
