PDF

This wall anchor helps you to attach your furniture to the wall to keep it in the right position. Important note: this is not intended to be a safety device.

Note: the cover photo is upside down to better show how it works.

Design features
  • This is designed to be secure when attached, but easily removable without tools.
  • It accepts #6 or #8 round head screws.
Printing
  • Print the model as-oriented in the .stl file.
  • Choose a material appropriate for your environment.
  • No supports should be needed.
Installation
  1. Determine the height from the ground that the screws will go. Look at your furniture to identify a solid place to attach them. Mark that height on the wall.
  2. Insert one of the screws into a stud in the wall at the correct height.
  3. Place single end of the anchor over the screw, and slide the furniture into position.
  4. Rotate the bracket to be upside down on the wall, and mark the horizontal locations on the furniture where the screws will go.
  5. Insert both screws into the furniture, exactly 25 mm apart.
  6. Test the anchor and adjust the screw depths as needed.
  7. Place the furniture into position and slide the anchor over the screws.
  8. To remove, pull the anchor up until it slides off.
Safety notes
  • This is not intended to be a safety device. It has not been tested for, or approved for, any safety applications.
  • Follow all manufacturer instructions to properly secure your furniture.

Other notes

  • I've designed this with OpenSCAD in a parameterized way. If you'd like any modifications (e.g., the screw dimensions, overall length/width, etc.), please send me a message and I'll see what I can do.
