This is the soapdish called SOAPIE (pronounced soapee, this writing made me think to much of “so pee” so I changed it to SOAPIE)
It's a simple two part soap dish where you put the soap on top and the water can drain into the bottom tray. The model features a cut out corner, to ease the draining. It can fit soap bars of up to 75x85mm.
I've also added an alternate inlay. This features a larger size pattern that made it a bit thicker and therefor a bit sturdier.
I've printed in PLA, worked fine. I've used layer height 0.16mm. You could go with a thinner layer height but I wouldn't recommend it for the standard inlay. The standard inlay is also small enough so it doesn't need any infill. The alternate inlay I've printed with 30% infill for the parts that have a larger gap between top and bottom layers. For the best results on the letters I do recommend printing it upside down. The tray is printed in 30% infill also.
I've printed it with “sparkle ruby red” from Real Filament hence the sparkly effect.
The .GCODES are also added as I would print them. That is with the inlays upside down. I have a glass bed so it makes the top nice and smooth.
I use a little bit of hairspray to make sure the parts stick to the bed, not sure if it needs it but it's a force of habit from me.
I currently use a Ender 3 Pro with a 0.4mm nozzle so if you use a 0.4mm nozzle you should be good.
The print itself needs about a 100x100mm print area due to the skirt that is printed (circles around the perimeter 3x before printing the part begins).
The corners on the inlay are not as rounded as the tray but this is on purpose. The inlay will fit snug so it doesn't fall out on it's own whilst still easily removable.
