A remix of Filboyt's Ender 3 Filament Guide
Taking the idea of arcing the filament from spool to extruder, but adding a wheel to reduce the drag on the filament even more!
The Issue:
The design of the ender 3 and Ender 3 v2 can create a sharp angle for the filament when it enters the extruder. I found that in some cases this can cause the gears to slip and therefore my printer would not extrude properly.
The Solution:
Print this little guide to allow the filament to smoothly arc from the spool and down to the extruder. The pieces should only take around 2-3 hours to print, even if you take things very slowly!
How To:
Print each of the three files (end clip, arm, wheel). Remove the plastic cap of the extruded aluminium at the top of the frame, and replace it with the end clip. Pinch the plastic axle halves of the arm so you can slide the wheel onto it, then slide the arm into the slot on the end clip.
PLEASE NOTE: As I remixed this from Filboyt's guide, the end clip is the same size as that model, and like many others I had to scale this clip to 102% to get it to be a really snug fit. I recommend trying this piece first to find a fit you like given your printers tolerances. I also printed this fine without supports on a stock Ender 3 v2, so give it a go! Everything else was at 100% scale and fit perfectly
