UPDATED!
This model is a complete rework of similar models you can find over the internet for Ender 3 Neo V2 extruder mount. Such as: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/ender-3-v2-cable-chain-extruder-mount-with-holder.
My problem with those designs that too much compromise required to attach them. (improper size, not perfect fit, not good stability, reducing Z axis movement capabilities by up to 10mm, etc...) And additionally, I'm using small chain for head cables to reduce the tearing force applied to the head and give better balance and stability. So I needed an adapter that perfectly fits onto my printer. For this reason I made my own design.
The prototype (photos only) of it might be attached to this article later on, but the final one is more important.
Let's see what we have here:
The model basically contains two pieces. Depends on your needs, you can remove the filament guide easily, without need of cutting, slicing, etc.. Or, you can print it alltogether. For better results, I suggest to build it with 0.16 or 0.2 layer height with 20% infill, with support.
Adhession is not critical.
Use PLA or PETG for printing it.
Please consider to use the following values:
Layer height: 0.2mm
First layer: 0.2mm
Wall width: 0.38mm
External wall width: 0.38mm
Wall lines number: 8
First / top layer heigth: 1.2mm (with 0.4mm nozzle it will be 6 layer)
Infill: 20%
Infill type: zig-zag
Use the temperature according to your filament
Speed: 60mm/s Outer / inner, bottom and top wall speed: 30mm/s
First layer speed: 20mm/sec
Z axis movement at retraction: 0.2 or 0.4mm
Update 2023-08-10:
The final, refined version of the extruder adapter / mount is uploaded.
