------

This ApolloLander will only work with stock hotend and stock backplate on wheels.
Orbiter 1.5
Orbiter 2.x
Sherpa mini
Sherpa micro
Sprite Extruder SE
Bowden setup ( use orbiter 2 rear motor backplate for that )

Designed for Ender3, Ender3pro, Ender3v2
Was reported to be working with Ender5 (might need some fiddling with x endstop)
(may not work on ender3max or Neo as is, but for those and similar style printer you can buy a ender3 backplate aftermarket or install linear rails with patreon model)

For other hotends and or linear rail direct mount join my Patreon.

Easy Print, no print support needed (optionally a tree support on the front fan opening top)
Only 5 parts (6 if you need a side probe), easy to assemble

If things aren't flush check for zip tie head or cables in the way when put together.

I usually do 0.2mm layer height with 0.4mm nozzle
Can be fully printed in PLA (but you can do PETG or any other),
I do recommend the duct pieces to be in PETG to last longer, as with PLA they may eventually slowly warp (but never is an instant catastrophe)
For enclosed printer use better material than PLA or PETG as it will eventually warp, something more suited like ABS or ASA

This also has a bltouch/CRtouch mount included
For the probe mount, try the baseline model first, but if it needs to be shifted vertically a bit, there are alternative versions included.

bltouch offset:
X: -53.6
Y: -11.3

crtouch offset
X: -51.6
Y: -12.5

ApolloKlack (requires Klipper) under GNU3 License, is an omron switch probe system based on Kevinakasam klackender (and shoutout to SiFire for the original ApolloKlack concept/adaptation of the KlackEnder)
No print support needed.

Magnets in probe can be installed before or after the Omron Switch. (easier to put magnets first if it requires force so as to not break the switch)
Requires six 6x3mm magnets (been using those succesfully: Amazon), and a M3x20 screw
STEP file included if you need to tweak it a bit.
The right duct of the Apollo is replaced with a special one for this.

ApolloKlack aproximate Offset:
X: 29mm
Y: 0mm

Installation steps:

  1. Install all threaded heat interests
  2. secure ducts to the main body then set aside.
  3. remove pneumatic fitting from the stock hotend, and screw the printed ptfe guide
  4. mount printed backplate to metal backplate, two hotend screw (make it tight, no wobbles allowed) and one side screws (screws from the front on ender3/pro, and from the back on Ender3v2)
  5. you can install the Bowden adapter (two M3x6 screws, and use the pneumatic fitting) or Orbiter 2.0 (motor facing the back)
  6. secure the PTFE into the hotend, if not already done.
  7. If using the Orbiter slice the PTFE tube about 10mm above the top of the Apollo, set the orbiter on top, and the gap you see will be the amount you need to cut off, so that the Orbiter can sit perfectly on top, with a perfectly length of tubing. Use M3x8 to secure the Orbiter 2.0
  8. Back to the main body, mount and screw the front fan and side fans (lower screw only), route all wires toward the right side (but left side can be done as well), best to use JST-XH plugs so you can easily install/uninstall that “fan block”
  9. you can also install and route wire for the side probe
  10. mount the fan block carefully onto the backplate/hotend piece, make sure no wires are pinched and if you used any that no zipties heads are in the way.
  11. secure with two M3x8 on top, make that tight (if you need access to the hotend, you'll have to remove these two screws)
  12. secure the side fans top screw (left side fan shares a screw if using a side probe, I think it uses M3x20, but possibly M3x25), those two top side fan screws will also need to be removed to access the hotend
  13. set your probe offset in your printer firmware (highly recommend klipper)

Images have screw length and position

(4~8) M3x20
(0~4) M3x25 (depends on type of front fan)
(4~6) M3x6 (depending on printer type and if using side probe )
(2~4) M3x8 (two would be used on the Orbiter)
(2) M3x4 for bltouch/Crtouch

This will require threaded heat inserts 16~20 of them depending on setup (everywhere except for hotend screws, and ender3/3pro where it screws into the metal backplate, ender3v2 does need one on the back of the printed backplate)

M3x4mm(L)x4.6mm(OD) or M3x4mm(L)x5mm(OD)
Amazon link 1
Amazon link 2
Aliexpress
Ender3v2 does need one threaded heat inserts in the back of the printed backplate (not on ender3 and 3pro) (see renders for a clearer picture)

Front fan may actually need M3x25 instead of M3x20 depending on fan (some have recessed holes allowing the M3x20)
It's meant for a 40x20mm fan, but you can also install a 40x10mm fan+included spacer

Top two front holes are for a generic ADXL345
