This simple clip adds a hanging loop to any water bottle. Perfect for clipping to your backpack during a hike, hanging from a lanyard, or anywhere else. To use, simply insert the strap into the body and cinch it tight like a zip tie around the neck of your bottle. When you want to remove the clip, pull the lever and slide the strap out.
Files
There are three included files:
- Body is the main housing. This can be printed out of whatever material you want--pictured is PLA.
- Lever is the small piece that retains the strap and can be pulled to release the mechanism. This part needs to be durable and slightly flexible--PETG is what I used.
- Strap is the part that goes around your bottle. This should be made of a flexible material--I used TPU.
Instructions
- Print the Lever and Strap pieces first.
- Slice the Body so there is a pause right before the top of the holes gets filled in.
- Print the Body. When the print pauses, insert the round end of the Strap into the circular hole on the right, and insert the trapezoidal end of the Lever into the hole on the left. Make sure you push them all the way in so the rest of the layers can be printed. See pic for reference.
- Finish your print and it's ready to use!
