Anycubic Wash & Cure Plus impeller replacement.

The imepller in the Anycubic wash & cure Plus station keeps rusting due to the metal ball bearing at the center. Once that happens, then rust particles begin to stick to the magnets that then get damaged since the rust particules create drag and damage the magnets chemical proofing coating. You basically end up with rust from the bearing causing the magnets to also rust.

This print encases the magnets in the print and also replaces the bearing to a plastic/nylon bearing to avoid future rusting. Since the magnets are encased and the ball bearing is no longer going to rust, this print should last a very long time (forever?) without introducing new rust into the solution. That said, if it does get damaged and no longer work, just print a new one and place the parts in again.

You WILL need to stop/pause the print at the layer right before the magnets get covered as well as the layer right before the ball bearing chamber gets covered. For me it was layers 39 and 54 that needed to be paused before beginning so I could insert the magnets. Since my heated bed is metal, the magnets stick firmly in the print and dont need super glue. Once the print ends, they will be encased. Use the original magnets from the original impeller. Ensure you orient them correctly by placing them on the anycubic wash & cure plus work area without the washing tub present to see which way they orient themselves. I recommend you mark them with something to know which side is “up”. they would be oriented in the same way in the print as they were on the anycubic work area.

The ball bearing I replaced with was this one from Amazon:

uxcell 628 Plastic Bearings 8x24x8mm Glass Ball Nylon Cage 5pcs

I'm sure there are a lot of other types, but this size worked for me. Ceramic would probably also work. Be sure to reuse the screw you remove to remove the impeller along with the locking washer.

I printed with:

3 wall loops
30% infill
No supports
0.2 layer height

I added both the .3mf as well as the .stl, both are the same.
