I got a scotts elite spreader and the mixer pin bent instantly on me, So I made this one. This paddle will work as long as you're spreading something light. If you're spreading something dense/heavy, you may want to decrease the size of the paddle size.
There are a few different versions:
There's also sloped vs non-sloped, I just printed with the single slopes, you can flip it to have the slope on whichever side you want.
*Since the paddle has to move through the material, if you are pushing heavy/dense stuff (like a full bin of grass seed), it will make it harder to push the spreader. I am spreading a small amount of seed and since it's light/thin it didn't really affect me much .
***if you load up the spreader all the way, this will cause too much resistance to push!***
Lining the pin up was a little tedius, I just kept turning it back and forth while slowly lowering it until it went through. Once the pin was through, I flipped it up so it wasnt rubbing against the bottom (see picture).
Notes:
This printed to where it was a nice snug fit, I wouldn't rely on that friction to agitate though, it has to have a cotter pin to reliably spin.
