Built to fit through a double wire mesh set up in an aviary (however, is suitable for all), this automatic drinker provides your birds with constant fresh water by using a 2ltr soda bottle. I've found the standard Pepsi type bottles best, as thicker walled or curved bottles can be an issue in creating a weak enough vacuum.
Basic Instructions: Main body & perch bar: PETG, 20%+ Infill, 3+ walls. Supports required for the covered area to main body - Recommended to make these 5% in zig zag, so they're easy to remove post-printing.
Basic Instructions: Soda bottle insert: PETG, 10%+ Infill, 3+ walls. Supports not required.
DIY Pre-Work: 2ltr Bottle requires holes drilling in the lid, it's trial and error here, it should continue to drip /trickle water when turned upside down once filled with water (lid on obviously!) . Not enough holes in the lid will not overpower the vacuum in the bottle, stopping water to come out. Too many holes or too big, you'll spill water!
I've found that approx 50% of the lid surface removed does the job.
The bottle insert has x 2 eyelet holes, that provide approx. 10mm of water for your birds constantly. General rule here is the hole height on the insert = water depth in the trough end, modify as you see fit.
Assembly: Print all. If fitting holding plate, attach prior to perch bars. Perch bar fit's snuggly into side of body after supports removed. Soda bottle insert has an arrow to show which way it should face (towards trough). Bottle should only go down enough to cover the lid (not rim).
Small hole in bottle insert rim is to remove, should it get stuck!
My intention is to upload a bottle holder ring, and main body holder.
