As a first contribution to printables.com, here is a fully parametric hinge that I'll be needing for a future project.

It was created from scratch with Fusion360, it might have glitches as I am a beginner, so please be forgiving. You can adjust the length, width, hole size, gap when the hinge is closed, distance between the hinge and the plate, and tightness of the hinge (ie the ability to slide along the length of the filament pin).

The idea is to have a reversible half-hinge. Print two for a complete hinge.

Add countersunk holes for screws, or integrate to an existing design.

It will be easier to insert the filament or bolt into the hinge when printed upright with a brim, but it will print flat without support. I suggest to take a look at https://www.printables.com/fr/model/450954-filament-hinge-tutorial to adjust the holes if needed and shape the filament.

Those hinges are not built for strength, they are supposed to be cheap and easy to setup with minimal filament cost. PLA is fine as mechanical constraints are light and the filament pin will act as a buffer.

In the latest version they can also have two symmetrical countersunk holes for screws. One can change the hole diameter for M3, M4, … bolts. I advise 1.85 mm to 2 mm for filament hinges.
