This is a DIY direct drive extruder for the Ender Max Neo.  It is a bolt-on attachment.

I've included my successful .3mf file and the original STL!

I recommend printing PETG 100% infill with Avoid Curled Overhangs enabled and supports enabled.

I printed mine with PLA+ first, then used that to print it in PETG for a more heat resistant/strong part.

Important note: printing in PETG with 100% infill, using all stock extruder (alloy extruder) it adds 380g to your printhead!  You will likely see slightly increased ringing, however in my experience it was quite minimal!

I have since upgraded to the new Creality Sprite SE direct drive extruder for the Neo series, which helped bring some fine detail back primarily in 25mm minis for DND.  very small details were seeing almost undetectable smearing with the DIY kit.

I ran this for over a month before upgrading, it works great!

Resharing TheGameIsFunny's DIY direct drive bracket who don't know it exists!  Fantastic for eliminating that nasty 20cm bowden tube from the Max Neo!  Print TPU, or just print minis with fine detail and minimal stringing!

Original Description:

Direct Drive Adapter for the new hotend of the Creality Ender 3 Neo series. It can be printed flat on the 45 degree cut without any support. I printed it in PLA at 20% infill. The mounting process is the same as the same adapter for the ender 3 pro. Added an hole for the screw that holds the hotend plastic cover even though it isn't there in the pictures. I designed this because I couldn't find any adapter for this printer. Hope this is useful to somebody :)

It works with the stock aluminum or plastic extruder.

Compatible with:
-Ender 3 Neo
-Ender 3 V2 Neo
-Ender 3 Max Neo
